I believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and that the therapeutic setting has to be a good fit for both the client and therapist in order for meaningful work to take place. My approach can best be described as empathetic, collaborative, and eclectic – but most of all, personalized to the individual client’s needs. Beginning with a person-centered approach as the base, I often utilize elements of CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy to create a blend of techniques that is tailored to each individual client. I approach my clients from a non-judgmental standpoint and aim to make each one feel comfortable and safe, as therapy is often the one space a person has that is truly only for them. My goal is to create an environment where my client feels seen, heard, and understood. Together, we will identify problems, create goals, cultivate understanding, and move towards healing.
