Therapist | LCSW

My therapy framework begins with developing insights and understanding yourself and your experiences. Together, we synthesize this knowledge and use it toward identifying actions for change. I use CBT, systems theory, and feminist therapy to deconstruct thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. We use what we learn to identify actionable steps and make meaningful changes in your life and find solutions. My approach aims to help you learn and apply new skills and perspectives and renegotiate your relationship with worry, shame, sense of self-worth, need to be perfect, or anything in between. My goal is to assist you with fostering self-compassion and competence in your world; bridging the gap between your life now and the life you want to live.

My Professional Background

I’ve been in the social work field for eight years working with a variety of folks with a range of experiences and mental health needs. I began my social work journey helping children and adolescents to manage anxiety, depression, and mental health crises. I transitioned to working with adults and providing crisis, individual, and group services with a variety of issues ranging from typical anxiety to complex trauma and psychosis. As I continued building therapeutic experience with adults, I discovered a passion for being able to explore more complex topics and frameworks in therapy sessions. Over the last four years I’ve had more permanency as an individual therapist working with folks of many different backgrounds and needs as well and started applying CBT and mindfulness interventions. I’ve refined my niche focusing on the many ways anxiety manifests, adjusting to life transitions and changes, identity-related exploration, and improving relationships. I’ve found strength and fulfillment in helping folks find creative and effective solutions to their problems and challenges with mental health.

Education, Training, and Certifications

Fun Facts

I’m quite interested in learning about communication and behavior, but outside of helping folks and improving my understanding of humans, I enjoy running and focusing on my own mental hygiene. I recharge by spending time walking in nature, watching sports or playing board games with friends, or relaxing with my cats and a good puzzle.
