Therapy is a place where we feel validated, understood and accepted for the first time in a long time, and maybe even ever by confronting our pain and reclaiming our lives without fear of judgement or ridicule. And that’s when healing truly begins. That’s when we realize that the power to break free from the grip of our past lies within us. That our vulnerabilities are no longer vulnerabilities, but rather areas of strength that we draw from. That is where the image of our best self has come into focus, and more importantly, that we have the courage to turn that image into a reality.
My Professional Background
I specialize in working with issues related to depression, sexual abuse & trauma, correctional counseling-restoration of prior offenders, as well as life transitions and acculturation issues. Having grown up in a multicultural environment with a Hispanic and Middle Eastern family, I know the importance of processing issues related to acculturation, problems of adjustments to a new culture, and the emotional rollercoaster of experiencing cultural shock. Change is possible and I invite you to take your first steps in your healing journey.
