Therapist | LCSW

My mission in therapy is to create a space where clients have the freedom to guide the work towards their goals with a collaborate partner who can assist in the self discovery process. I strive to make therapy feel loving and supportive by providing a place where you can start on the journey to connecting with your inner strength. Self care is important, and therapy is a courageous way to give yourself the care and support you deserve. You set the pace, and together we will work to help you gain the tools you need for self care even when you’re outside a therapy session.

My sessions are strength based, trauma informed and person-centered. I focus on making a compassionate and non-judgmental place where you can grow, and feel confident that you can reach any goals you set out to work on.

My Professional Background

I started my career working in substance abuse treatment while I was still working towards my undergraduate degree at USF. I continued working in substance abuse treatment until I had the opportunity to move to Colorado, where I began working in community mental health. There, I worked with people needing basic resources in the community and who had received a diagnosis of a severe and persistent mental illness. While In Colorado, I completed my MSW from Colorado State University and afterwards, decided to move back to Florida. Since returning, I’ve worked as a victim advocate in several settings to victims of crimes, and as a counselor with At-Risk Youth. I think my diverse experiences has helped me be able to meet people where they are no matter the circumstances. I also enjoy leading strength-based trauma groups for women, and trauma-informed yoga groups.

Education, Training, and Certifications

Fun Facts

I’m from Tampa and I love nature and connecting with it in any way I can like gardening and landscaping, as well as kayaking from time to time. I love home stuff and making my space lovely to be in, so I especially enjoy playing interior decorator. Yoga is also really fun, and every once and awhile I can throw down in the kitchen. I’d say one of my favorite hobbies though is going dancing. My cats are some of my favorite people.
