We could all benefit from having a time and space that is exclusively ours and dedicated to meeting our needs. That is what I hope to provide to you.
I am here as a support, a guide, and a sounding board to help you take the steps to making positive changes in your life. I look to create a warm and nonjudgmental environment for you to work through whatever is on your mind day to day, or the bigger issues that you wish to tackle. Our sessions are a place for you to explore and express yourself fully, so that together, we may process your inner conflicts and come up with realistic and concrete solutions to the challenges you are facing.
I believe strongly that for therapy to be successful, one must feel safe, respected, and heard, and I work to bring authenticity, and at times humor to the sessions, because at the end of the day, we are all simply trying to make meaningful connections and to feel understood. I look forward to beginning this journey together.
My Professional Background
I am a licensed clinical social worker with several years of experience in a healthcare setting working with adults and families. I support individuals experiencing chronic or new onset illness through supportive counseling. I aim to introduce a warm and calming presence in the chaos of a hospital, and work to hold space for the various emotions and concerns that these individuals and their families face. Additionally, I also take part in various continuing education programs including a program in advanced cognitive behavioral therapy.
