Therapy is a collaborative effort between therapist and client that start with client educating their therapist on the reasons for seeking services. As a Therapist I look to provide education to the client in order to facilitate increase emotional intelligence and develop coping tools to manage current stressors and feel empowered to manage future stressors/triggers.
