Get to Know Lissette

Therapist | LCSW

Therapy is you leading the path and having someone flash some light on things that you may have not noticed or dealt with along your journey, it’s having a partnership, mutual respect, and honesty when it comes to moving forward. I work mostly with evidence-based practices, those are research-based practices that have been proven through research, to help alter mood and beliefs (ex. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR) but I also know that different things work best for different people, that’s where you can take the lead (Narrative Based Theories, Art Therapy, Mindfulness, and etc.).

I wholeheartedly want you to know your worth, be able to heal, and find support in this therapeutic relationship.

Let’s work together and ensure you get to where you want to go and get you the healing, peace, and balance you have always been deserving of!

My Professional Background

I have worked over 15 years with children, families, and adults promoting health, balance, empowerment, and advocate for these populations. I have worked with the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence, Department of Family and Protective Services, Public Defenders office, and other non-profit health care centers. Specifically, I know the hardships child abuse/neglect, domestic violence, immigration status, substance use, and trauma can do to a person; these experiences provide many challenges, painful memories, and different experiences but these things don’t define us. I firmly believe that with intent, action, enough hard work, and support we can pull through, create a better version of ourselves, and heal.
