Therapist | LMHC

I have a broad range of therapeutic experience. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationships, life transitions, grief, gender and adoption. As a therapist, my work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In other words, we partner together to examine feelings, thoughts, and behaviors and how they affect each other. We will do this as a team initially, with the goal that you’ll develop the skills to examine these three things independently, thus leading to symptom/concern resolution.

My Professional Background

Professionally I have worked in both private practice and school settings. I am comfortable with all age groups, as I have experience with ages 3 – 65 for over 20 years. I enjoy the personal relationship that a therapist and client have, but also have witnessed great results when significant others are included. With that being said, the group setting gives its own particular positive results and supports relationship building.

Education, Training, and Certifications

  • Bachelors of Professional Science from SUNY Brockport
  • Masters of Science at Syracuse University
  • Suicide Prevention Trainer
  • Certified School Counselor
  • ADAPEP Counselor
  • Certified Soccer Coach

Fun Facts

I have always enjoyed being active. This includes coaching, playing and spectating sports, swimming, boating, skiing, almost anything. As I have gotten older, I particularly find comfort and relaxation in gardening and yard work. I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes 2 biological daughters and 1 adopted son and their growing families. I am recently widowed, so I understand those intense feeling of loss.
