I recognize that it takes a great deal of courage to begin your therapeutic journey. When taking that step, I strive to offer individuals a safe and empowering space in which we can work together.
I would describe my approach to treatment as strengths-based, empathetic and genuine. I also strongly value the role of creativity and remaining open and curious in the therapeutic process. I am passionate about taking a holistic approach to treatment, using trauma-informed, CBT and mindfulness practices to incorporate both the mind and body into treatment.
It is important to me to honor your unique story and to take the time to understand your treatment goals. Most importantly I hope that, through this collaborative process, you will gain the skills and confidence to effectively navigate obstacles you encounter in life and are able to create a more positive future.
My Professional Background
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in practice for over 12 years. My experience has included work for crisis hotlines and centers, agencies, clinics and school systems. I am honored to have been able to work in service of children, adults, community groups and families throughout that time.
Over the course of my career, I have been continuously impressed and inspired by the intrinsic strengths of the mind, body and spirit. This has fueled my passion for better understanding the mind-body connection and inspired me to continue to seek out ways to integrate mindful movement into my treatment.
