Therapist | LPC

My approach to therapy has evolved as I build experience with various client needs and populations/backgrounds. However, I find that techniques such as motivational interviewing are consistently helpful across client populations for gaining a better understanding of client’s values, goals, and motivations. I believe a good place to start in therapy is by identifying clients’ values and evaluating the current balance and where clients can create more balance in life. I seek to support my clients in achieving goals that align with their values. Recognizing those areas that are imbalanced can help guide our focus to building skills to navigate areas that feel most challenging or disruptive.

My Professional Background

I have a variety of experience providing individual, family, and couples therapy to a range of clients from young children to adults. Having worked in environments including the school system, outpatient facilities and private practice, I have a solid understanding of how to collaborate with clients to identify their needs and provide appropriate support or connect to the right community resources. Throughout my career, I have gained experience with navigating conflict resolution, addressing general DSM-5 diagnosis’, and helping clients increase emotional regulation and distress tolerance.
