Therapist | LMHC

I am a holistic and intuitive psychotherapist, an empath. I have been always passionate about healing, healing of the body and mind, and the bidirectional relationship between the two. It has been a lifelong journey of searching out various methods of healing which helped me to develop a skill method to assist others. My approach is multifaceted and allows me to see a person beyond the cluster of existing symptoms. I strive to meet each of my client’s unique needs, and help them to align their lives with their values. I guide my clients to create optimal well being for themselves by choosing thoughts and behaviors that work for them. The thought can make us sick and the thought can heal us. I assist clients with developing adaptive, coping strategies leading to growth and healing.

I believe all psychotherapy results in cognitive, behavioral and emotional changes. I believe the therapeutic relationship between a therapist and a client can be one of the most powerful way to nature healing.

My Professional Background

I have received my Masters of Education, Mental Health Counseling, M.S.Ed, in 2018 from Hunter College of the City of New York. During my training program and post graduation, I had a privilege to work in outpatient mental health clinics in Bronx, NYC, and private practice outpatient setting as well. I had a pleasure of working with diverse, ethnic, racial, gender, age (ranging from children to 65+) populations seeking relief from anxiety, depression, childhood sexual trauma, chronic illness, issues related to identity, poor self esteem, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, treatment resistant depression. I integrate primarily evidence based approaches, CBT, REBT ( Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy), Motivational Interviewing MI, and Psychodynamic modality. I often use a combination of cognitive re-framing with psychodynamic exploration of the past. The caveat of the CBT modality alone-is that it doesn’t address the past which is often a result of our current mental and physical state.
