My approach to therapy is very similar to my day to day life, begins with mindfulness and working in the areas of feelings and response with day to day life. Understanding the physical as well as the mental that our body holds to holistically as well as psychologically improve the areas someone wants to develop. Together, working collabratively, to develop a safe and welcoming environment to create goals and work through the hard stuff. I utilize an eclectic approach within the areas of cognitive therapy, feminist, somatic therapy, solution focused, psycho-education, and other therapy approaches by creating a tailored individual direction together.

My Professional Background

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and Wyoming, as well as, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II. I began working in the mental health field through specialized case manager for the family court system, Justice system, special victims, and Department of Children and Families. This led to my passion of being part of the healing, the growth, and working with individual to meet their mental health needs.  My approach to therapy begins with establishing a partnership with an  open and safe environment. I utilize integration in my approach tailored to individuals. I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Somatic therapy. Using therapy approaches that focus on healing including understanding mind/body connection. As a clinician I have worked in a variety of environments from in home, the justice system and forensics, residential placements, and crisis intervention. I am able to work with all ages. I specialize in forensic areas of treatment, anxiety recovery, sexual issues/sexual abuse trauma recovery, life transitions, post pandemic care, and have extensive experience in crisis response/ trauma treatment. Together we will work to develop goals that will meet your needs to be the best you on your terms.

Fun Facts

I love photography and capturing family moments. I have the best dog ever, she’s a 16 year old lab mix and most evenings you can find us by the ocean or in the parks walking. Family is a priority and anytime with my 22 year old son is the best time ever. I am passionate about mental health, preventing homelessness, and helping out in my community. Any other free time is with movies or anything crafting and creating.
