Twinkies, Pop-Tarts, and KitKats—what could be better?! These are probably some of my favorite snacks! While I love them, I know that I wouldn’t feel too great overall if these were the only foods I consumed. The things we have a strong preference for aren’t necessarily the healthiest for us. Sometimes, due life’s circumstances, we lose sight of healthier ways of being. While physical health is important, our mental health is equally vital. If you feel like you’ve lost sight of what you want in life, feel stuck, feel overwhelmed by symptoms, are looking for a change, or maybe just need some support, counseling can help!
I am committed to working together with you, helping you to meet life’s challenges and reach your goals. You have what it takes to be your best self! I believe that for growth and change to occur there must be genuine connection and the space to be your authentic self. Within the space of a therapy session, you can expect acceptance and a compassionate approach. In each session, I incorporate aspects of various techniques including those from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and person-centered therapy.
