Sometimes life throws you a curveball. It can be overwhelming; make you feel like your life has turned upside down. It is important to take the time to have self-awareness and it is okay to have someone help you navigate the difficult changes and challenges in your life.

Genuine empathy and trust are crucial for a positive relationship between a therapist and client. I offer a non-judgmental, safe environment where we can work together to empower you. My approach is integrating a mix of compassion based cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapy and mindfulness. I focus on client centered strength-based perspective and utilizing motivational interviewing.

I will help you to try to gain a conscious understanding and to finding the right balance to live a fulfilling, healthy life in addition to improving your coping skills.

My Professional Background

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York. As a social worker, my past work with community agencies allowed me to meet with diverse clients and develop awareness of the need for cultural sensitivity. I have experience working in non-profit and private practice settings building long-term relationships with clients as young as 19 years old and up to 94 years old.

I specialize in working with clients who have relationship issues, familial conflicts, depression, anxiety, life transitions and life stressors including job/career concerns, body image and becoming a new parent. I also focus on the impact of past or current trauma and how these experiences interfere with your daily life.
