My approach is very collaborative and holistic, focusing on the client’s strengths and meeting them where they are in a non-judgmental atmosphere. I believe utilizing understanding and compassion, while encouraging a client to push their limits, allows them to grow. By integrating therapeutic and coaching techniques we can build on strengths to attain the personal growth needed to accomplish goals set forth together.
I believe it’s important for all of us who struggle in life with what troubles us is to change our prospective and sometimes that comes in the form of asking for help to do this.
My Professional Background
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I have a wealth of experience working within the mental health and non-profit industries. I have worked with diverse populations ranging in age, socioeconomic and racially diverse communities.
I have worked extensively with: Children and Family, Substance Use and Treatment Facilities, Homeless Youth, LGBTQ+, Entertainment Industry, Veterans and Older Adults (65+) populations. Working with such a wide variety of populations I have been awarded the opportunity to expand my knowledge and sensitivity when it comes to race, gender, sexual orientation, religion and age.
My clinical lens is strengthened with my extensive history in Substance Use Disorders as it has inspired me to learn more about mental health and mood disorders, dual diagnosis, trauma, anxiety, depression, family systems, self-worth and spirituality.
