We are a whole world. Therapy is about mapping out, traveling to, and learning from all of the places we have inside of us. We can choose the places we call home, the places we visit sometimes, and the places we bring closure to as time goes on.
My job as a therapist is to help you explore how your life experiences, influential relationships, and core beliefs continue to play a part in your everyday life. I’ve found that if we can work together to stay in an uncomfortable place long enough to find calm and to start to look around, we’ll see that every place inside of us has a lesson that’s important for us to keep present as we live out new experiences.
My Professional Background
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Doctorate of Education degree in Counseling Psychology and a Master’s Degree with dual focus on Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. I love working with children, teens, adults, and families on issues that impact their daily lives and their most important relationships. I have been integrated in several school-based Prevention, Early Intervention, and Trauma treatment-focused programs, as well as in group homes for people with varying physical and developmental disabilities. Through my work with amazing non-profit organizations like the Center for Child Counseling, Boys Town, and the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, I have been able to partner with amazing teachers, parents, and communities to support children and families facing significant life challenges, including grief and loss, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, bullying, and self-harm behaviors.

Fun Facts
Having recently moved to a different state, I’m excited to travel around the city, get to know my new neighborhood, take some cool pictures as an amateur photographer, find great food at cozy cafe’s, and develop new friendships. I will definitely miss the beaches of my old home but I’m excited to explore the lakes and hills of my new one!
