Therapist | LMHC

I like to use cognitive related approaches, specifically acceptance and commitment therapy, to be helpful therapeutic interventions, but I also utilize eclectic approaches based on each individual client’s needs. I also find CBT and DBT to be specifically helpful with clients. I am passionate about creating an environment in which clients feel they are safe and accepted. I view my role as a therapist to be encouraging but lets clients be the driver for change.

My Professional Background

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselor. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Le Moyne College and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marist College. I have experience working with a variety of different populations, but has specific passion, training, and experience in working with client’s in the LGBTQIA+ community.

My previous counseling experience includes working with college students, individuals struggling with addiction, those suffering from significant mental health concerns, families, children, and clients that have experienced trauma, and those struggling with anxiety and depression, and those struggling with eating disorders. I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, community based, private practice, and educational settings. My passion is for helping individuals get to a more comfortable place in their lives.
