Individual therapy is a modality that I provide for those seeking help. A place where a person feels comfortable and accepting to change their ways or behaviors. A place they look for, to confide in a individual who is non judgmental and has the tools to assist a person looking to heal. My approach with my clients is person-centered, where their focus is primarily reaching their goals throughout therapy.
Other approaches that I have found to be a common use in my practice are reframing/challenging negative thoughts, Managing moods and Solution focused based practices. With my ability to be interchangeable with my clients, my therapeutic approaches are endless.
My Professional Background
My professional expertise has always been in the Human Service Field. I also conducted supervised visits with families mandated by court.
Post graduate school, I accepted a position as a Mental Health Clinician for a non-for-profit outpatient clinic. After 3 years in my position , I was then promoted to my current position as a Clinical Supervisor working with at risk youth placed in a Residential Facility.
