Therapist | LMHC

I view therapy as a collaborative and transformative process, where the therapist and client work together in a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to the individual’s unique needs and goals, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address negative thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build emotional regulation and coping skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to foster mindfulness and acceptance, and Person-Centered Therapy, which emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and the importance of the therapeutic relationship in fostering self-awareness and growth. Additionally, I incorporate Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their ambivalence, strengthen their intrinsic motivation for change, and guide them toward their personal goals. Through these approaches, I aim to empower clients, helping them develop resilience, gain insight, and ultimately live more fulfilling, balanced lives.

My Professional Background

I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients facing various challenges, including depression, anxiety, relational issues, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. My work has also extended to addressing issues specific to first-generation Americans and immigrant populations, navigating the complexities of cultural identity, acculturation, and generational conflicts. Additionally, I have supported women through challenges related to gender identity, societal pressures, and personal empowerment. I am deeply committed to cultural competence, ensuring that my therapeutic approach is sensitive and responsive to each client’s unique cultural background and life experiences. Whether working through phase-of-life issues or personal growth, I create a safe, empathetic, and inclusive space for clients to explore their concerns and build resilience.

Fun Facts

As a therapist, I believe in the importance of balance, which is why I enjoy staying active through Pilates, exploring new places through travel, and spending quality time with my family and friends. Whether it’s finding the perfect outfit during a shopping spree or unwinding with my adorable Pomeranian Maltipoo, I understand the significance of self-care and personal fulfillment. These activities not only keep me grounded but also help me relate to clients who are navigating the challenges of balancing their own lives. I bring this same sense of warmth and relatability into therapy, creating an environment where you can feel understood, supported, and empowered to explore and grow.
