Therapist | LCSW

My therapy approach is based on fostering a strong therapeutic relationship so that one feels safe and heard. I provide a safe, supportive, collaborative and nonjudgmental environment. In learning about one’s personal strengths I utilize that information to assist in the healing process exploring what you would like to see different in your life and explore options in our journey together. I assist individuals to find new ways to cope, function and learn to let go of behaviors that are no longer serving their best interests. I partner with individuals that are navigating unchartered territory and help process feelings, emotions and thoughts for a more centered life.

My Professional Background

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years’ experience as a clinical therapist. I have worked in a community-based outpatient mental health clinic for the past 7 years. Prior to that I worked in an outpatient substance abuse clinic. In these roles I have worked with adults of all ages and diverse backgrounds facing mental illness, addiction, and life transitions. I have extensive background in (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship issues, trauma, self-esteem, caregiving, aging transitions, LGBQT+, end of life, grief and loss. I am certified in DBT and CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma) and also trained in CBT, SFT (Solution Focused Therapy), Mindfulness, and Motivational interviewing.
