Therapist | LCSW

I am a firm believer that patients are the drivers of their own therapy and that as their therapist I am there to help them navigate and develop pathways to reach their goals. I believe that actions and behaviors can be driven by thoughts and in turn our thoughts perpetuate and drive our behaviors.

By guiding and uncovering these sometimes automatic drives and responses to our everyday stressors we can them become more in control of our lives and our happiness. By looking at the relationship between our thoughts and emotions and our actions and by using a combination of behavioral activation techniques and cognitive therapy techniques I strive to in partnership with the individual reach their full potential and goals.

I do believe that Challenging our own negative thoughts and improving on our self- compassion can be the catalyst for achieving and becoming our best selves.

My Professional Background

I have been in the field of mental health and addictions since 2001 and I have worked with a diverse population of clients and Patients during that time. The majority of my work has been with the dually diagnosed population providing individual and group work interventions. I also have roughly 10 years of supervisory/ clinical administration work on the field of addiction and mental health.

I have also worked to build programs that encompass the whole person and their varying needs. I have helped to bring the integration of families and loved ones into patient care with the goal of treating the family unit. I have worked along side medical directors to bring more trauma informed care into the programs that I currently oversee with an understanding that in order to bring about change a program and a therapeutic approach has to be multifaceted.
