My Favorite Quote

Be confused, it’s where you begin to learn new things. Be broken, it’s where you begin to heal. Be frustrated, it’s where you start to make more authentic decisions. Be sad, because if we are brave enough we can hear our heart’s wisdom through it. Be whatever you are right now. No more hiding. You are worthy, always." — S.C. Lourie

Therapist | LMFT

I am a compassionate, warm, and patient clinician that finds joy in helping others reach their highest potential in life. I view therapy as an extraordinary process that fosters resilience, hope, and healing from life’s greatest challenges. My goal in therapy is to create and maintain a safe space to allow for gentle exploration and fulfillment of one’s goals, values, and needs.

I utilize client-centered and strength-based approaches with my clients as well as CBT, DBT, ACT, and family systems techniques to address depression, anxiety, trauma, disordered eating/body image issues, and relationship difficulties. I believe in using a holistic approach that integrates the mind and body connection to optimize well-being and create deeper understanding of the whole self.

I believe we all have the capacity for growth and change. I look forward to working together and helping you become the best version of yourself. I believe in you wholeheartedly.

My Professional Background

I received my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Arizona where I began my career supporting children of divorce and working as a counselor’s assistant to those in eating disorder treatment. My passion for helping others find authentic happiness then led me to receive my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Irvine in 2018. In the past 3 years, I have worked with at risk youth and in both inpatient and outpatient settings for the treatment of eating disorders, addiction, and co-occurring mental health disorders. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families.
