Our platform connects you with online therapists to keep you safe from COVID-19
Therapists on our platform provide individual, couples, and family therapy or coaching. We periodically hold group workshops and more detail will be posted on the site in advance for event registration. In terms of therapy approaches, our providers offer a wide range of therapy techniques and styles based on the diverse training of each of our team members. We understand therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” experience and we strive to make sure we meet our clients where they are at.
Yes! Connecting you with online therapy and coaching is by far our most popular service. We understand people have busy schedules and making time for in-person session is not always convenient, so our providers offer online services to clients. We use a HIPAA-compliant virtual platform and will provide you with instructions on how to access your sessions and address any troubleshooting needs.
Our platform helps clients from all age ranges, and each therapist has specialized training in specific age groups to address the unique needs present with each life stage. We would be happy to set up a consultation and discuss your goals and determine goodness-of-fit together!
Our fee for sessions can be discussed during the initial consultation. Many people mistakenly think they can receive "free" therapy services using their insurance. However, this is frequently not the case because almost all insurance plans have a deductible that will need to be paid before insurance will provide coverage.
We are in-network for some insurance providers, and we are also happy to help you get set up to use your out-of-network benefits. In either case, payment via credit/debit card is due at the time of session. We recommend looking into your benefits for outpatient behavioral health services beforehand to make sure you know what is covered by insurance or reimbursable.
Most of our clients do not use their insurance. When paying out-of-pocket the therapist's notes from your therapy sessions are kept confidential. If you use your insurance, the therapist's notes from sessions must be submitted to insurance, and insurance will require your therapist to diagnose you with a mental health disorder which stays permanently in your medical record forever. Insurance will also often try to find ways to save themselves costs by limit the number of sessions they'll cover, assign you a specific therapist, or push you toward group therapy instead of individual therapy. Paying privately gives you more control over your therapeutic journey and full confidentiality.
We are more than happy to reschedule or cancel any sessions at least 24 hours before our scheduled appointment time. Any cancellations within the 24-hour window will result in a fee.
Absolutely -- confidentiality of all client information is protected by state and federal laws. There are some limits to confidentiality in extreme cases when safety of the client or others is compromised. We can provide you with the details of these exceptions during your initial consultation or in an initial therapy session.
Your sessions will start with an initial consultation to understand your goals. This initial consultation takes approximately 15-30 minutes and is always free of charge. All following sessions are 50-55 minutes long.
We are looking forward to meeting you! Please fill out our free consultation form below or give us a call at (858) 215-3885.
