Therapist | LPC

My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and culturally responsive, grounded in the belief that healing occurs within a safe, respectful, and authentic therapeutic relationship. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build insight, regulate emotions, and develop practical coping skills. At the same time, I incorporate Gestalt principles to support present-moment awareness and deeper understanding of patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships. I strive to meet each client where they are, honoring their cultural identities, lived experiences, and strengths, while working together to foster meaningful and sustainable change.

My Professional Background

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and my Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston–Victoria.
My background includes school counseling, as well as clinical experience in a Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP), where I focused on accountability, behavioral change, and emotional regulation.
In private practice, I work with clients experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, anger management challenges, relationship and marriage concerns, and family issues. I take a collaborative, evidence-based approach tailored to each client’s needs.
While not a psychopharmacologist, I have a strong interest in the relationship between neurotransmitters and psychological disorders and enjoy incorporating psychoeducation to help clients better understand their mental health.
