Therapist | LCSW

I would describe my approach to therapy as being one that is collaborative, understanding, affirming, and I strive to create a safe space for my clients to be their authentic selves. My therapy style includes an interactive approach of talk therapy with a focus on MCBT, DBT, and positive psychology. I believe that therapy is a place for you, the client, to feel safe, welcome, and empowered to enhance your life. Together we will create a treatment plan that will focus around what your goals are for yourself and how I can be an effective support in your journey.

I utilize a holistic approach, focusing on mind, body, and soul. I take time to teach you skills to enhance these other areas of your life as I believe we cannot heal one without the other. I believe the therapeutic process is a relationship between equals, you are the expert in your life and I aim to guide and support you to living as your authentic self so you can live a healthy, well-balanced life.

My Professional Background

I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2017 with a Master’s in Clinical Social Work and began my therapeutic career interning in an inpatient setting with adolescents that were victims of abuse. I learned a lot about mindfulness practices and the power of yoga/meditation while working with this population. From there I moved on to work for adults and adolescents with substance use disorders, I oversaw the entirety of the adolescent program as well as worked my way up to being an evaluation supervisor that was responsible for completing intakes for the substance abuse program for adults in the jail system. After three years I moved on to working with an organization that focused on access to care for the LGBTQ+ community, where I specialized in gender-affirming care and trans health care. I have experience working with a diverse population of clients of all ages, demographics, sexual orientations, gender orientations, diagnoses, and ethnicities. I am passionate about providing high level of care to all people who want to take a step toward living a healthy, balanced life by healing mind, body, and soul. I believe my generalized skill-set has helped me become a compassionate and competent therapist. I am currently an LCSW licensed in the state of Florida.
