My goal is to develop a therapeutic partnership and work with you so you may achieve greater levels of self-awareness, self-sufficiency, self-control, and self-esteem. Emphasis is placed on education, understanding, skill development, and practice in problem solving, coping skills, interpersonal communication, emotional regulation, behavior management, and cognitive restructuring in order to help you successfully navigate difficult life situations and achieve personal growth and progress.
I utilize an eclectic approach which tends to incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, reality therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, psychoeducation, and rational emotive behavior therapy. I specialize in treating OCD, anxiety, depression, anger management, relationship problems, and sexuality issues. I believe that a good fit between the client and therapist is essential. I take an honest and authentic approach that adds humor and a bit of fun to the therapeutic process.
