I approach every client as an individual with a unique set of goals and needs. These help tailor my approach and identify skills and strategies to best meet those individual needs. Most often I’m operating off a cognitive behavioral framework meaning we are looking at how thoughts and emotions affect behaviors. The hope is that through identifying the underlying route emotion or issue, we can address any unwanted behaviors.
My Professional Background
I graduated with my masters degree in 2016 and started working in the healthcare field with patients who had experienced loss and/or suffered a traumatic event. I then transitioned to my work within the legal system in late 2017 where I have been ever since. In addition to my work in the courts, I currently possess my clinical license and practice independently as well, working with clients experiencing a range of symptoms from anxiety to adjustment disorder to borderline personality disorder.
