By far our most popular service with our clients is online therapy or coaching. We live in a busy world and seeing a therapist or coach in the office weekly may not be practical for many people. That's one of many benefits of meeting online - it provides a modern and convenient approach to traditional services, allowing clients access to secure video sessions in the comfort of their own home or anywhere else that ensures your privacy. At Centered Mind Therapy, we will guide you through the process of getting started with virtual sessions and will connect you with a provider with specialized experience.
Individual therapy or coaching allows clients to meet one-on-one with a provider in a non-judgmental and safe space to work towards goals created by the client. The first few sessions focus on understanding what brings the client in for therapy or coaching and building the therapeutic or coaching relationship. At Centered Mind Therapy, sessions last 50 minutes and typically occur weekly unless decided by the provider and client to follow a different schedule. Each provider use a range of different techniques to meet the needs of each individual client, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and insight-oriented therapy.
Similar to individual therapy or coaching, couples therapy or coaching focuses on addressing the unique goals that partners identify in a safe and non-judgmental space. Additionally, couples sessions focuses on opening the lines of communication and building skills that directly relate to goals. Common topics include how to reduce conflict and improve communication patterns, building intimacy and positive experiences as a couple, and enhanced collaboration in parenting. Couples sessions last 50 minutes and frequency of sessions can be discussed collaboratively.
Similar to individual therapy and coaching, sessions conducted over chat allows clients to meet one-on-one with a therapist or coach virtually via our chat platform. The first few sessions should be conducted by video session or in-person to help the provider understand what the client's goals are and build the therapeutic or coaching relationship, and then for following sessions the client and provider can meet on the chat platform.
Group therapy sessions at Centered Mind Therapy offer support to group members while addressing specific topics which are outlined before group registration. Topics include Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, mindfulness, emotional processing group for women or adolescents, and postpartum health and support. Group therapy sessions at Centered Mind Therapy can be ongoing or a time-limited series. Please ask us any questions you may have about offered group sessions at the practice!
Some clients prefer coaching while they're in the moment. Coaching is a purely behavioral approach to working through obstacles and achieving results. At Centered Mind Therapy, we provide on-demand coaching services by phone that can help you stay accountable in working towards goals and optimizing your performance. On-demand coaching sessions by phone are billed on a per minute basis.
