My Approach

Therapy is a collaborative approach, letting the client be the guide. I utilize an integrative approach.  Together, we will explore the things that hold you back from living a meaningful life with the highest attainment of lasting success. I want to help guide my clients to total healing and wellness. Most people come to therapy because they feel lost, broken or stuck and are looking to be whole again. As a therapist I want to help my clients realize their full potential in a safe setting where they can be vulnerable with their emotions.

My Professional Background

I have been in the mental health field for over 12 years. I have experience in working in San Diego for the County doing mental health management with the severely mentally ill as well as doing Consevatorship Evaluations for the County of San Diego.  I have worked extensively in substance abuse and directed a medication management facility in San Diego while also providing counseling for those with dual diagnosis.  Now in Georgia I work primarily with couples as a Gottman level 2 trained therapist, individuals dealing with anxiety and depression, first responders, and women's issues.

Education, Training, and Certifications

  • Bachelors in Sociology and Associate in Criminal Justice at Southeastern Louisiana University
  • Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling and MBA in Healthcare Management from University of Phoenix
  • Level 2 Gottman Thearpist
  • Certified First Responder Counselor

Fun Facts

I love to be outside, I love gardening and have made my backyard a little oasis.  I enjoy hiking and try to get up to the N. Georgia mountains and find new hiking trails. My husband and I love getting on our Harley and exploring new backroads.  I have 2 kids, one of which is a U.S. Marine and a teenage daughter. I'm also a dog mom to 4 fur babies who keep me super busy.
