The truth is that our mental health was never intended to maintain itself. How can we expect our complex mental and emotional systems to stay in tip-top shape without attention or care? We can't. As long as we are living and breathing humans on this earth, preservation of mental and emotional health will be as detrimental to our survival as our physical health.
I believe therapy is for anyone who wants to heal or improve their mental and emotional systems. In other words, therapy is for anyone who wants to live, love, think, and feel better.
Working with me, you will feel heard, supported, and safe. I strive to offer you a space that feels familiar and protected, allowing you to fully engage in the process towards becoming your best self.
The areas I am most effective in include reducing anxiety/depression symptoms, learning how to develop healthy and happy relationships, and implementing positive changes toward improving your day-to-day life. My sweet spot is working with burnout and high stress. If you are going through a period of serious stress, feel burned out at work or home, and can't see a way out... I am your person. I will show you the way through.
Academically, I spent over a year taking a deep look into burnout and how to understand this phenomenon. Burnout and high stress will often co-occur with anxiety, depression, irritability, and feelings of low self-worth. What I learned is that burnout may have amazing gifts and offers great opportunity for growth and understanding. It does not have to be a personal suffering. No matter what is going on, my ultimate goal for you will be to have your life feeling good again.
During my off time, you will find me reading a book or watching the latest netflix docu-series. My love language is quality time, so I am often absorbing as much as I can with my partner and my beloved puppy Charlie. I have recently taken interest in learning how to make homemade pizza so that has been really fun! The best part, eating lots of pizza.
