As a therapist, I believe you are the expert of your unique story and my purpose is to guide a meaningful exploration that enhances self-understanding and emotional growth. We often get entrenched in unhelpful patterns and situations that feel immensely difficult to step back from and untangle. Therapy is a great place to start in identifying alternative perspectives, taking a deeper dive, and challenging what is no longer serving you.
I describe my approach as collaborative in nature. Within a therapeutic relationship, I strive to create a non-judgmental place and highly value authenticity in our exchange.
I acknowledge the courage it takes to begin therapy. Your strengths are foundational to how you have gotten to this moment and through past difficulties, and I aim to build upon and recognize what is already working for you. I will take time to understand what brought you to this moment, and wherever you are on your path, I am looking forward to hearing your story.
I have been fortunate to work with a variety of populations, most recently with adults who are experiencing homelessness and moderate to severe mental illness. My prior experience includes working with adolescents and their families in dealing with both mental health and substance use issues. I have also facilitated support groups related to domestic violence and worked with adults in a private practice setting.
Outside of work you can find me tending to my plants, experimenting with new baking/cooking recipes, and spending time with family, friends, and my fur babies!
During the consultation you and one of our Clinical Coordinators will discuss why you're interested in starting therapy or coaching, and review your goals. We can also answer any questions you may have about our services. Consultations are by secure video conferencing session, or by phone.
