My Approach

I believe collaboration and compassion are at the root of a successful therapeutic experience. I offer a non-judgmental, safe space where individuals can speak honestly about their goals and experiences. I cater my approach to each person I work with, taking into consideration their unique history, beliefs, and interests.

I am especially passionate about utilizing mindfulness practices and movement activities in my work. I find those exercises to be helpful in regulating emotions, feeling connected, and releasing the stress held in the body. I know that seeking support can be a challenging and confusing process. I am here to meet each individual where they are at, with care and compassion, to bring ease to that process. I know that growth and healing is possible and I am here to provide guidance and support every step of the way.

My Professional Background

I received my Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Mental Health and Culture. Specifically, I explored the role of ‘self’ and ‘non-self’ in Buddhist and Western psychological wellness practices. After graduating, I worked as the Client Services Coordinator at a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and psychiatry practice.

I have experience facilitating mindfulness groups for children with ADHD and/or Anxiety as well as DBT skills groups for middle and high school aged clients. I also have experience leading compassion-focused mindfulness practices and contact improvisation movement activities. Most recently, I have been trained to work with survivors of sexual violence as a Sexual Assault Counselor. In that training, I enhanced my abilities to be trauma informed and culturally sensitive.
