Hello! My name is Amy Gillespie and let me first congratulate you on taking a step towards getting support. I'm a big believer that one of the most important parts of therapy is finding someone that you can trust and connect with. I offer a nurturing and non-judgmental environment to explore what is bringing you into therapy, and work together with you to help facilitate the growth you are seeking for yourself.
The lens I use is trauma-focused in that I recognize that we have all experienced pain that impacts the way we view and move through the world. I work with you to identify your feelings without judgment and express them in a way that serves you. I am certified in EMDR and also incorporate positive resourcing, and mindfulness into my work.
I'm an LCSW with over 8 years of experience and I offer a nurturing and non-judgmental environment to explore what is bringing you into therapy, and work together with you to help facilitate the growth you are seeking for yourself. I received my LCSW from Simmons College in Boston, MA and have worked with adults with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, substance use, relationship issues and much more.
I am a huge animal lover. I have a Chiweenie and a cat that make my life better every day. I love to run and find it helps me clear my head and is my own meditative exercise. I love traveling, especially anywhere where I can go in the ocean.
During the consultation you and one of our Clinical Coordinators will discuss why you're interested in starting therapy or coaching, and review your goals. We can also answer any questions you may have about our services. Consultations are by secure video conferencing session, or by phone.
